It has been found that those who are stressed in life, age quicker than those who aren’t. So, because of April’s stress awareness, we have provided some suggestions to lead a more relaxed lifestyle.

1. Get 8 hours of sleep each night and eat a balanced diet. A full night’s sleep gives you the energy for a full day or work and play. Not enough sleep and an irregular diet can drain your energy and leave you more susceptible to everyday stressors.
2. Exercise once a day or 3 times per week at the least. Exercise expels a lot of built up stress. Plus, exercise will increase your endorphins that can make you happier. Exercise is also great for getting your body into shape.
3. Create a schedule to coordinate your life. A maintained schedule is organized and leaves room for more free time.
4. Surround yourself with positive people. This creates a positive environment for you and keeps you optimistic.
5. Take time out for yourself. Get a spa treatment, take a hot bubble bath, sip warm chamomile tea, go shopping, or read your favorite book. Taking time for yourself does a lot for your mind and soul and could be the single most important part of keeping up a stress-free lifestyle.
